Plant Variety Overview

Fraxinus griffithii, commonly known as Evergreen Ash or Himalayan Ash Tree, is a small, oval-shaped evergreen tree that offers year-round presence in the garden. Its shiny green upper leaves and silver undersides create a two-tone effect that catches the light as the foliage moves in the breeze.

In cooler climates the tree can become semi-deciduous, which adds seasonal variation to its appearance. Clusters of white flowers appear in spring, bringing a light and fresh feature to the garden at a time of year when many plants are just waking up.

This tree combines a compact, oval habit with fast growth and good tolerance of both frost and drought. Those qualities make it a practical choice for street planting, feature positions and shade, while its evergreen character keeps the garden looking established through every season.
